The Rasika Arts Foundations is an academy for classical Indian dance setup by Shri. Kiran Subramanyam and Smt. Sandhya Kiran in 1999.

Matangi has been extensively involved in key leadership roles as a part of Rasika. She has played an important role in the various compositions which today form an important part of Rasika's repertoire. She has trained young and older students alike and has set a strong role model for the students. She has been a principal dancer in Rasika's significant choreographies.

As a principle dancer of the Rasika Dance Ensemble for the last 9 years, Matangi has had the opportunity to enthrall audiences at prestigious platforms like Bangalore Habba, Bangalore International Arts festival (BIAF), Margazhi Utsavam Chennai, MES Kalavedi Bangalore etc.
