The classical art form of Bharathanatyam is at a critical phase today after having been in existence for several centuries. Both students and audiences have dwindled and other forms of entertainment have taken a precedence. Matangi's vision remains that Bharathanatyam represents not just a dance form, but also a culture that is integral to India.

Matangi Nrithya Kshetra is a humble initiative by Matangi to set up a dedicated school for the love of the art. She has taken the first step into the world of teaching and nurturing young minds with the dance center in two branches; HSR Layout and Basveshwarnagar.
